Hello!

I'm so glad we have at least one tiny fandom in common, that means I already love you and think you have impeccable taste!

So, I guess I bit about my likes/dislikes in general and then I'll wax poetic about my fandom loves and give you some ideas and whatnot, yes? Okay, let's begin:

Things I'm a fan of:

Gen
Character studies
Characters dealing with their shit
Relationships that just barely work, or shouldn't but somehow do.
Found families/chosen families
Journeys (both the physical of travel and also spiritual/mental)
A/Us (both canon divergent, what-ifs and completely taking the characters--though retaining what makes them them obvs--out of the canon and dumping them anywhere else.)
Fusions/crossovers
angst
hurt/comfort
hi-jinks and shenanigans
witty dialogue
epistolary stories or elements
geography or location so rich and real it's another character

Relationships
Everything on the gen list still applies, but also:

Things I'm less a fan of:

PWP-- I don't mind sex, or kinks, but I'd also really like some substance and reasoning coming into play. But if you're here for treats, ALL THE PORNZ!!
Incest/chan/rape fantasy
Extreme kinks-- sexual exploration is one thing, watersports/pony play is quite another. Worried you might cross the line, contact redsnake05 she knows where my line is.

And I think that's about it. Now, on to the fandoms!

Dead Poet Society (Todd, Neil, Knox and Keating): I don't know why after all these years doing Yuletide that I picked this year to request this fandom, but something in me, I guess, just needs a good cry (not that you can't focus on the funny, or the sweet, but you know, sad's sort of implied no matter what ♥) And I don't have any particular prompt of idea of what I'm looking for, or even what characters I want it to focus on (a complete clean slate for you to write whatever you want w00t!). The only thing I ask is, if you do write a teacher/student romantic relationship (that isn't one sided) that it happens many years in the future.

Hart of Dixie (Wade, Zoe, Lavon and Annabeth): I just discovered and DEVOURED this show in one long weekend *meep*! It hits so many of my favorite things. Quirky towns people (though a bit more Gilmore Girls than Northern Exposure), fish out of water, found family and also that teen-romance type thing like Dawson's Creek--it is really SOO very much Dawson's Creek for adults (I mean, come on! Zoe/Wade are SOOOOO Joey/Pacey, imorite?!?!)

I really like the idea of hearing more about the town before Zoe came to town and brought us with her. So, feel free to explore pre-canon era Wade and Lavon (and George and Lemon if you want)I'd love to read about some of the shenanigans they got into in highschool. As far as shipping, I loved Zoe/Wade but liked them more in the getting together than the actual being together. Can't help it, I'm a sucker for people who don't like each other very much or have anything in common working through all of that, or falling despite all of that. I also really just loved Annabeth and Lavon together and was really sort of bummed that they didn't wind up together, so I'd love to read something about them, or even an AU where they do live HEA. ♥

Really, I just want to live in the world of the show for a bit more to get over the fact that I have no more canon to consume.

Northern Exposure (Joel, Marilyn, Rosslyn and Cicely): I asked for Marilyn and Joel specifically because I just love their relationship soooo much and I've yet to read any fic about it. How puzzled and frazzled she made him, how they cared about each other in a very bizarre and endearing way. Remember that time that Marilyn went to Seattle and Joel was so worried he followed her there? How adorable and unnecessary that was? God I loved that episode.. them just walking down the street doing exactly what she wants to do. ♥ ♥ So, anything that explores that relationship would be amazing.

I'd really love a story of Cicely and Rosslyn that's framed with Marilyn telling it to Joel (maybe in her bizarre way of giving him a lesson or scolding, or maybe just around a campfire telling stories). Of course, you could also go anyway you want with these characters (or any others you'd like to include).

Philadelphia Story (C.K., Tracy and Macauley): Firstly, let me just get this out of the way ♥ KATHERINE HEPBURN OWNS MY HEART FOREVER AND EVER ♥ and this is one of my favorite characters she played. It is my favorite of her and Cary Grant (Holiday being a close second) movies. Basically, I requested this fandom because I've been jonesing for the movie a lot lately and reading about the characters having shenanigans (either in canon world or taken out of it) would fill that hole nicely (and make me finally get off my ass and find a copy of the movie proper). And as far as shipping--Go Crazy! I would love Tracy/C.K., Tracy/Macauley, C.K./Macauley or Tracy/C.K./Macauley ♥

The Sparrow (Emilio, D.W., Sofia and Anne): ♥Emilio♥ I love this book and this man so very much! I want to read more about him, about his friends, about his shipmates...missing scene, pre-canon, post (with or without referencing the sequel) hallucination, AU, anything really... And while you can absolutely keep Emilio as broken as he was in the book, I'd take it as a kindness if you didn't brake him anymore... or if you do, please, please fix him.

The West Wing Weekly Podcast (Josh, Hrishi and Bradley): I love this podcast so much! I've been pretty much mainlining The West Wing since last November's election :( and living in the bubble of it to keep myself sane, so the podcast has really came along at the exact right time! I've loved Josh as a person almost as long as I've loved his characters, I love him on Twitter, I loved his (and Michael Ian Black's Sad, Sad Conversations. I loved all the rumors about the shenanigans that went on on the set of TWW, and really love hearing them be confirmed by Josh and the guests they have. I especially love the love/hate relationship he has with Bradley Whitford. ♥ There has to be a lot of love and respect for two people to be able to talk to each other the way they do and I'd love to see some of that. I'd really love to see them try some prank on Hrishi and it going HORRIBLY wrong because Hrishi is just so precious and earnest. ♥

So, there you go. I hope any of that helps. If that doesn't maybe this will--I am incredibly easy to please! There is very few things someone could do that would make me not LOVE something given to me as a gift. If you you'd like a second opinion about my likes and whatnots, redsnake05 is your go-to.
