HAPPY PRIDE!

I hope to come back some time in the near future and talk about things and stuff. But until then, here, have some book recs.

May 2025 )

So, what is everyone reading for Pride? So far, I'm just set to finish:
*When The Tides Held the Moon by Venessa Vida Kelley
*Even Though I Knew the End by C.I. Polk
*Less is Lost by Andrew Sean Greer
*Missing Page by Cat Sebastian
*A Destiny of Dragons by TJ Klune

And then we'll see where the muse takes me. Recs, of course, always welcome. ❤️❤️

And before I begin, this is where I beg you to join Fable (and give you a cool invite code that gives us both $$ for one of their interactive ebooks). Fable is AWESOME! ❤️

March 2025 ) And that was my March. How about you all?

Challenge #12 Create a Rec Countdown

I know I'm obscenely late and who needs recs anyway? Oh, but wait, maybe now is the perfect time to rec, after the season is over when you're done reading all the stories your had bookmarked to read, after you've checked out all the communities/ discords/ books that everyone has already suggested. Here I come out of the kindness of my woefully procrastinatey heart with a post just for you. YAY ME!

I can't believe February is almost halfway over already. Oh well, better late than never (basically my epitaph, I guess).

First, my apologies. I seem to be incapable of making cut tags anymore. I've tried on rich and html and they just don't work. 😭😭

October Reads!

Let's see, another month, another graphic style from another reading app. This one looks pretty cool. Anyone else on Fable and want to follow each other?

So, that was my October. What about you all? What have you been reading?

September Reads!

Look at me, not even a month behind the times…yet.Haha! I might have written this post in time, but completely forgot to actually post it. Oooops.

This month was pretty light. But I did really enjoy what I did get a chance to read. Or at least have really complicated feelings about them. Let's begin:

June Reads!

I read way too many books to not have a cut tag that works *crosses fingers* )

*I say Pride edition but honestly, there isn't much difference between his month's reading and any other month. ♥

Last year I broke my reading slump, but I was so shocked by it that I was ill-prepared to organize my cataloging, let alone my thoughts and reviews. I'll probably spend this whole year fixing that mistake because I don't want to forget one book I read last year.

I'm determined not to do that again this year. So here:

Challenge #7: Make a list of fannish and/or creative resources.

This is going to be short because I'm still in the place fandom-wise that I'm just consuming canons (i.e. reading books) and that's pretty much it. Where do I get my books and how do I know which ones are quality?

Cutting Just In Case I Get Long Winded--It's been known to happen ;) )

And look at me being all short and sweet! ♥

Challenge #2

In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year.

In my biggest realization that the reason I don't get things done is because I make them too complicated and think over them too much. For why? I don't know. Let's keep this simple:

Fannish Things:

Read more fanfic
Write more fanfic
Be here more
Be awesome

Non-fannish Things:

Read more books
Review more books (like all the ones I read last year and then continue to do this year's as it goes)
Write more (or like... ANYTHING).
Get through a lot of life-altering things happening this year
Have an amazing celebratory vacation
Be awesome

And there you have it. Goals. I have them. ♥
