LET'S DO THIS!

Day 1
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.
This is the first time for me re-posting this since the reveals went up at
interhouse_fest. I loved writing this story, even though for large chunks of it, I didn't know where I was going or if there was an end in sight, and even though it took FOREVER to get it where it needed to be. Still, the experience of the process of it--working with my alpha/beta
capitu from the beginning stages to the final product--made up for a lot of that.
Title: The Children Left Behind
Characters: Draco, Remus/Narcissa
Word Count: 13.5K
Rating: Rish
Warnings: canon-divergent AU
Summary: He had been a fairy tale, a story Draco’s mother told him every night…
My Familiar
Another HP story, and another Remus story. ♥Remus♥ This one explores a relationship between Remus Lupin and Minerva McGonagall. I really loved the idea of exploring a side of Minerva that I haven't seen too many times before, a bit maternal and a bit selfless. Plus I really liked playing with the idea that they both had these animals that resided in them and the difference between having it forced upon you and having a choice. Added bonus was that I got to write it for
redsnake05, My Favorite. ♥♥
Variations on a Theme
This is White Collar (P/E/N) and it was written for the Merry Month of Masturbation celebration--so that's definitely one of the themes being played with here. ;) But, it's also lyrical, and achey and I just love the language of it. I love when all the elements of a story come to you at once and it just happens. It doesn't happen often, but what in it does, I can't help marvel and wonder where it came from, as if it weren't me at all.

AND Draco! Dude, Draco got us there to cry as we needed, no? *sighs* The process of writing The Children Left Behind was crazy and everything, but it was beautiful and one of my favourite things I did last year. <33
