Man, it's been a looooong time since I've done this!

But, it's also been a long time since I've been in a fest, and I like to read stories in fests that I've participated in. Of course though, I do have delicate sensibilities about some things, but I do like to push some other limits.

So, the fest is hp_crossgenfest and it's a bit of a strange one, ngl... or maybe it's just an indication of where the fandom is right now. It is nice to see Harry get so very much love though. I've never seen a fest filled with multi-generational pairings that had Harry in such the epicenter. There was Harry with pretty much all of his children in some way or the other, if that's your thing. There's Harry with Voldemort, which I haven't gathered the nerve to read yet. Then there were these ones that I did gather enough nerve for. I'm usually really delicate about Harry pairings and all of these are pairings that I would have never considered reading before, but all of them, I'm glad I took the risk and encourage you to as well.

Firstly because it has to work in a way that Harry isn't underage and that's hard to do when Sirius died when he was like what, 15? But, there are ways. This one was great as they both got to be something like contemporaries (ah, magic!), and Harry got to see him in a new way and Harry got to be a bit new as well.

My comment: Okay, first of all, Vampire!Harry might be my new favorite thing! Second of all, there just is NOT enough Remus in this fest. Before this fic, there was only ONE and it was from LAST YEAR... but OMG, it was soooo good! (In the Bones Remus/Draco and they're both werewolves and it is GORGEOUS!) But, back to this fic. I don't know why I couldn't imagine pairing Remus and Harry but in this story they were perfect as men who needed each other to see the person inside of the monster. ♥

Oh, but wait! There is more Remus!

LOL There's Harry love all over the place at Cross Gen. And you know, Voldemort slash or het is one of the things that I just. . . don't read. I don't know. XD

But that Remus/Ron fic, absolutely glorious. If you haven't read it yet, DO, because it's amazing. And it's my prompt, too! :D:D:D

Harry is definitely the VB in this fest! ♥ But it's fun to see everyone's interpretation of him. I have read a few Voldemort things--or Tom Riddle things, I guess there is a distinction--and I might have written a bit... but I'm always leery about it and need to either know its from a writer I trust (the first one I ever read was as a beta reader for redsnake05, so my bar is raised pretty high ♥) or I need someone I trust to rec it to me.

I am on my way for the Ron/Remus now. I love them so! I couldn't believe that there has never been any Ron in this fest before! I guess I'm going to have to pay attention to this fest when it's time for prompting because OMG! So many great crossgen Ron pairings I love. Remus... Snape... Rosmerta... Teddy... hmm... ♥Teddy♥

Next year we need to give more love to Ron, and lord, yes, Rosmerta, and Remus and Teddy (he gets plenty though, last year he was a hit! lol)
