Trying to find something to share for today and I'm again reminded that my sentences have two speeds: super ridiculously short or probably- too- long. Guess which one these fall into. 🤣🤣

Spoilers for the Green Creek WIP series I'm currently working on, "In the End, It All Comes Down to Choice."

Gordo watched his tear-blurred form approach, but didn't let go of Ox, held on tighter in fact.

Mark only stood and watched the embrace for a moment before he joined them, wrapping his arms tightly around the boy and the man.

As Gordo moved to make space, wrapped his arm around Mark's shoulder, pulling Ox's head into the crook of both Mark and his neck, Gordo felt a long forgotten tug, like a string being pulled from his chest, calling out to another searching for a safe place to settle.

At first he thought it was the tether of Mark, the way they were connected and sometimes pulled against each other, as if testing the bond's strength. But, when Mark pulled away and looked as stunned as Gordo felt, when Ox looked at both of them with adoration, like he now knew that everything would be okay, like maybe today wasn’t the worst day of his life, that maybe he could survive this heartache and that he’d have support, hands to hold him, to lift him up…

Godro broke out in a full body shiver and rubbed at the burn in his eyes.

Would love to read your 6 sentences!

Thank you kindly! I'm having a lot of fun editing - it's so satisfying to get to focus on sentence structure and phrasing. Though I also have WIPs in earlier stages of the writing process that I'm also enjoying working on. Getting to write is such a joy 💖💖💖 Do you have a favorite part of writing?
