Like previously stated, I'm only wanting what made you smile, sigh, love and laugh. I'm not saying there isn't value and time/place for critique and discussions about what was amiss. I'm just saying this isn't that place, this isn't that time.
I was away all weekend, left right at the time the show was starting, so yeah, I missed it and was going CRAZY all weekend. But now I've watched it and can squee with everyone.
So, a list:
♥ Power-hungry finger-point Peter
♥ Cinematography-- Seriously, stellar camera angles and scenery shots that looked both beautiful and gritty.
♥ Mozzie and his ridiculous wigs-- I thought I was going to hate this, but so far, I am LOVIING IT! Bring on the ridiculous!
♥ The Con!! Love me a good con! This one was especially delicious because it sounded relatively easy and yet, Every Single Thing Went Wrong. It was fun and nerve-wracking. I approve.
♥ Sex symbol Neal-- I mean, it's no secret that Matt Bomer is a very pretty man, but very rarely do the use just how stunning he is like they did this ep with the museum girl. It made me giggle.
♥ Rolled up button down Peter-- Peter, out of his suit (in anyway) always makes me happy.
♥ Neal having the worst con luck ever-- Like epically bad.
♥ :____; The break up-- OMG that was painful! And how hurtful Neal was and how crushed Peter was and how it was all because Neal was panicked and needed to get Peter out of the car, but holy crap was it sad!
♥ Peter taking the blame-- MY HEART!
♥ MacGyver! that Neal and Mozzie exchange and Mozzie's new handler nickname of the "Knock Off Suit" was precious and I thought it was a great way to end the show. But then it turned out that there was a bit more...
♥ HOLY FUCK WHAT THE HELL!?!? I think it's safe to say I did NOT expect that. Jesus! What does that even mean for the coming up season?!?!? It's one thing to confess you sort of kind of helped get a forger out of prison and perhaps helped him steal a thing or two... but now that Hagen turns out to maybe also be a murderer? JESUS! This is BAD!!
Thoughts? Squees?

Date: 2013-11-04 11:50 pm (UTC)One Last Stakeout was so good, so packed with action, humor, bromance, romance, sexy flirting, angst, hurt feelings, and love. Peter surprised me by liking the perks of his new job so much until he showed how much he would rather be in the field with the team, and Neal.
Neal had so much bad luck, yet he pulled it off. I like seeing him commit crimes, I shouldn't, but I do. We hear about his past and of course we see him running cons for the FBI, but the things he has to do for Hagen shows him (and Moz) really doing their thing. I like the way Moz and Neal are showing their affection for each other this season. Moz doesn't owe Hagen anything, but he's right in there with Neal with no hesitation.
The death of Seigel at the end was a total shocking surprise to me. They made him a good character, he didn't treat Neal like a criminal after all, he was just starting to open up and tell him about himself, they got along. Of course, he followed Neal, it's his job, but what a mess. I don't think the show will have Neal responsible for this, there must be some kind of a twist coming. It's one thing for him to cause Rebecca to lose her job, but murder-I don't think so.
I am looking forward to seeing where they go with this, and Peter's job promotion, and El's feelings about it, and Mozzies money problems, and Neal and Hagen, and Neal and Rebecca, and especially Neal and Peter.
