Tumblr in particular is very advanced on the topic (well, in certain circles, not all of them), and basically, people who still have their HP House in their bios are suspected to be TERFs and avoided.
I have a rec list of HP-like LGBT books here. A lot are for ex-Harry/Draco shippers. For ex-Marauders fans, I highly recommend Branches of Past and Future by MN Bennet. <3
