In the middle of an action scene:
Avengers One, Rack and Ruin, this is the Milano. Falcon is out in the open, render any and all assistance. A retrival unit is presently in the longhouse confronting Thanos and the glove. They also need backup.”

“Copy that, Hill,” Natasha’s voice came clear and equally calm, even as the Quinjet pulsed fire. “Cap, Hawkeye, and Nebula, are you ready to go?”

There was a pause. “We’ll go where the commander needs us,” said Steve, and Sam could hear the buttoned down restraint in his voice, even over the communications system. The tight note had been there when Steve got back from Melbourne; Sam hadn’t pushed it – then. He wasn’t going to push it now. “Captain, if you’d help the Milano—”

“Unnecessary, Cap,” said the woman. Her accent was young, American, confident, but the golden slash of light that stabbed viciously through the hornets was something else. “Thor’s on it.”

Lightning arced through two dozen hornets around the ship, rendering them piecemeal and ash in a split-second. It cleared a space large enough for the Milano to swoop down in another controlled spin, shaking loose the last couple of hornets attached to it before it banked in a tight circle, bringing it back to the fight. Sam saw Thor hover for a moment, turning to watch the Milano with a shocked express— Oh, right, Doc Foster was in there, too.

“Showoff,” muttered Stark, who then proceeded to fire a multitude of tiny rockets that spun out and exploded hornets right left and centre.

“Look who’s talking,” retorted Rhodey, cheerfully doing the same thing.

“Flirt later, boys,” said red-gold-and-blue, streaking past them. “Fight now.”

“Hey, we can multi-task.”

Next three POVs of scene are going to be DIRE though. Like, the readers should totally come out of the chapter screaming at me.
