Oct. 6th, 2007 06:01 pm Incase you were unaware...here is just a few of the very many reasons I love Tom Robbins...
"...a person has not only perceptions but a will to perceive, not only a capacity to observe the world but a capacity to alter his or her observation of it--which in the end, is the capacity to alter the world, itself. And then a mere 10 pages later...
"I tell you, that switch from B.C. to A.D. must have driven people nuts. I bet more than a few Israelites missed their dental appointments."
In other words...I highly recommend "Skinny Legs and All" if you are one of those people who can suspend belief and travel cross country with a mystic stick, a holy Conch Shell, a macho dirty sock, a erotic spoon and a philosophizing Can o' Beans...and watch as Salome looses her seventh veil...
