Challenge #6: Share a piece of canon...

I feel this is a bit of a cheat, but that's only because I had planned for a much more eleborate thing that needed a lot more set up and explanation and then it was all just  too much, and I felt like it might be spoilery and also maybe not that interesting to people who aren't me (which isn't usually something that bothers me--HAHA--but combine that with the time needed, and yeah...)
So, this instead.

Basically, I think everyone should watch Ted Lasso, and if there was one scene that needed very little set up to entice this would be the scene I would make everyone watch. It does all the things--well most of the things--I love about this show:
Ted playing up his Dumb American thing.
Ted acknowledging his own privilege.
Ted being underestimated.
Rebecca being awed.
Rupert being a gigantic wanker.

So, here, let me force you to watch this:

How fun. I’ve never seen it. I’m going to have to try it out. Made me laugh.

I'm goiing to check it out this week. Again, thanks for the rec. Hubby has been watching it and loves it, so he'll be glad I'm going to try it out.

I know this wasn't the point, but if I'd known Anthony Head was in Ted Lasso, I'd upped it on my to watch list earlier! XD

That said, that scene was really great as well. It was funny and it made me smile in that this feels really good way. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, this so much.

Another great scene is Rebecca helping Ted through a panic attack.

I love how this show walks the edge of embarrassment squick but never falls in.

Thank you for posting!

I need to watch the last season of this show at some point. Being fine with spoilers means I don't have to jump through hoops to avoid knowing anything about things, but also sometimes they'll put me off watching something I will actually enjoy.

That was such a great moment.

Right, I suppose I should get around to watching Ted Lasso at some point, shouldn't I? The bits that I've seen and the reviews that I've seen make it sound like for all the things that it does, it does wholesome, warm, and fuzzy particularly well.

This scene was so great, for all the reasons that you mentioned! I love that this show can be funny but also heartwarming and serious too without it feeling out of place.

LOVE this scene, it's so good <3 And I love Ted standing up for Rebecca in such a 'him' way: it's not aggressive or confrontational, but it's undermining Rupert the way he loves to do to her.
