Fandom does have its own language that makes no sense outside of the bubble.

But, if you do want to make new friends in a slighly less fandom=y sense, I found this one for you. It does ask fandom questions, but more about the things you geek over and that can be tweeked to focus on music and whatever else gets you excited. ;)
