Clerks II...are you kiddin' me?
While through college in the 90's when I worked at a video store and my friends and I dreamed of making our own movies. As examples of the independent spirit of film we looked to Robert Rodriguez and his "El Marichi" to Quentin Tarantino and "Reservoir Dogs" then there was Kevin Smith and "Clerks". As twenty somethings with dead end jobs, we truly related to "Clerks," as video store employees who were making a movie very much like Kevin Smith made his movie, he was our GOD...
Now it's 2006 and Robert Rodriguez bastardized his own "El Marichi" to make "Desperado" and I think "Desperado 2" and now this? "Clerks 2"? Why Kevin? What's next, "Reservoir Dogs 2: Revenge of Mr. Pink"?
And Lord Help Me, you know I'm going to have to go and see it...
