Work in Progress Wednesday!

I CAN SEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Sort of...

...ish.

I had my surgery yesterday and it was everything everyone said--the easiest thing I'd ever done. Especially after the Zanac and the pain med IV (two thing I'd never had before). I barely felt anything and couldn't believe when they said it was over. In and out in less than 4 hours. I actually can't wait to get the other one done. Unfortunately, I'll have to as I am out of town for most of August and back to work after that, and since one of the only things I can't do for weeks after the surgery is left anything over 30 pounds, I'll have to wait until the Christmas holiday when I don't have a baby to cuddle for that length of time.

Everyone reassured me about the ease of the procedure and how much better their vision was, but no one told me that it wasn't an immediate thing. So, while I can see better now than I have in a very long time, it's still not great. I'm told it will get better and better in the next couple of days, and I can see that it's already getting better today than it was yesterday, I'm just learning to be patient and not stress too much that it didn't work and it was all for nothing.

BUT! It's Wednesday! It's Summer! It's a Holiday Week(end), so, lets have some fun during this WIP Wednesday. Instead of sharing a snippet and us all reading and heaping kudos and GO YOUs at you, post the very last sentence of the very last thing you've been working on and let us have fun with it. Maybe a little Round Robin, or maybe it will inspire a whole new story in a whole other fandom for someone else.

How it will work: One sentence in a new comment. No context, no explanation. If you write for that sentence, whether it be just another sentence or a scene, complete story, leave it in a reply to THAT comment. Each sentence can have as many threads as it garners and you can take any added story and work it anyway YOU want, just make sure to leave your contribution under the comment you took it from and not the original comment. Does that make sense?

I'll keep the game going all weekend, because I'm alone and I have no where to go and a jug of tasty refreshments to keep me company. Of course, if no one participates, I will quietly delete this post and pretend it never happened. ♥

LETS PLAY!

P.S. for Livejournalers, I won't turn off comments over there (mostly because I can't remember how), but I DEFINITELY suggest you check out the Dreamwidth post as it is usually where more people comment and interact for this things. ♥

I could care less if you pulled off his head and bowled with it.

eta - also I'm glad the surgery went okay. Hope the recovery does as well

HOORAY FOR VISION and heal up soon!

Also I'm writing non-unholy things again!

“Buck,” Steve puffed into his hair, broad hand gripping his face. “Bucky. I thought you were dead.”

I am so glad to hear that you are doing well - I've been a bit concerned (forgot about the imminent surgery).

This is, honest to god, the last sentence I've written this evening:

Despite Eggsy's negativity, he's still touching Harry, still exploring and it's making Harry just a bit crazy.

Oooo, this is very similar to my dead community [community profile] forkingfic that I've been considering resurrecting this summer. I started it this winter and then let it flounder immediately because I was too tired/unfocused to promote it. And knowing me, I'll just be depressed and useless next winter too, but I was thinking of advertising it as a summer experimental project. Hence, I'm very curious how successful this post will be. I have two works in progress, so I'm going to make two more seperate replies with the last sentence of each.

I'm glad the surgery went well and I hope your vision continues to improve.

Also, what a fun game! Here's the last thing that I wrote:

Great to hear the surgery went so well! Here's to better vision in the future! Huzzah!

The last line I wrote:

"This isn't normal," he said to himself, his anger swirling to life, heating his skin past comfort. He reached to his back pocket for his wand – his hand closed on nothing.

The last line that I wrote, that would actually make any sense to include:
Rena was having trouble fending off everything coming toward her, which left no time to strategize, communicate, or do anything but try to stay alive.
