Again, sorry for the lateness, but I had to finish some things. Haha, which means, I have nothing to share today. All my things are either done, or in that exciting stage of beginning.

But, that also means I have all the time in the world to hear about your W(s)iP and cheer you on.

Yes. I'm working on an old original project that hit a couple of sticking points so I set it aside for years and it's messy and full of those moments where I think, "Argh! Why did I think I could be a writer?! I'm terrible!" and then I got feedback on the first chapter that basically backed up the knowledge that the opening was weak and confusing which bumped me solidly into the "Why even bother? The whole thing is garbage" mood.

But a friend has been reading later chapters and encouraging me and I decided to jump in and completely replace chapter one with a different chapter one. (I'm not sure it's *better* but it just feels better to be writing something from scratch instead of trying to patch up an awkward piece that I first wrote years ago.)

And then the second "big" project is actually plotless fanfic smut which is my way of avoiding working on the other project while still feeling productive. :-) That's the one I wrote an additional 2k words on this weekend.

UGH! First chapters are hard! The only book I've ever gotten published (so far) had a first chapter I hated and couldn't fix properly until the very last edit before it went to the proofers when it just ~clicked~ and wound up fixing problems I didn't even know I had in later chapters. I'm glad you worked through your first chapter too!

And yay for project for avoiding other projects. I have way too many of those too. ♥
