Well, yes, fictional road trips are fine! No one ever kicks the back of your seat in a fictional road trip, or drools on your shoulder, or waits until you're just past the toilets to tell you they want to stop. I am okay with solo road trips too, but both Squeak and my Gentleman Friend are poor travelling companions for me.
